Coruscant

I'm sorry for being late with both the responding about my current english skills and projects but had no idea what to write about and wanted to include the first one with the work I send in.

Coruscant from space

For today's topic I chose Star Wars once again and will more then likely use it up other times too. But enough warm-up let's talk about Coruscant also known as Imperial Center during the Reign Galactic Empire, it's not only the busiest and most crowded planet in the galaxy but also the center of it. Not only due to its 1 trillion inhabitants (while many experts estimate even that with such size it should have trillions of inhabitants) and being huge political center but also thanks to its central situation in galaxy. In the region known as the Core region which is actually the outer parts of the galaxy's core but since it's bloody hard to navigate in the thick and dangerous core (which is known as deep core) little to no space lanes or trading hubs have been established. Making the Core region worlds more ideal to be established as capitals or trading centers. And by a spot of luck Coruscant just happen to be in perfect place.

Now that we know what made Coruscant a competitor let's look at its history to see why it became the galaxy's most important planet. Coruscant is rumored to be the birthplace of the Human race which at the time was known as the Zhell who fought the Taung over the planet (about 200 000 years before the battle of Yavin four [BBY].) which was a bloody and long lasting war fought with ancient weapons but the Zhell rose up victorious and drove of the planet the competitors(a picture can be seen of the war to the right).By 30 000 BBY humans have over populated the planet which attracted the attention of the Infinite Rakatan empire. the most powerful empire the galaxy has seen until the Galactic Empire at least. The Rakatan has enslaved many humans and considered them the best slaves which gave the speice the opportunity to greatly increase its presence in the galaxy and learn from their masters. With the newly acquired Rakatan technology humans colonized many core planets and after the Rakatans lost their connection to the force humans rose up and defeated their overlords around 25 200 BBY. As Coruscant was still considered the home planet of all humans it became the capital Republic formed between the human planets (which at the time only involved the colonize beside Coruscant). about 25 000 BBY the Republic has contacted the Jedi order on the planet Ossus and the jedis became the government's protectors which is a bit odd for the so called peace keepers since the Republic`s populace was very war like. Onward from that point the war between the Jedi and Sith followed where the Republic was caught between and the planet especially.

That is what happened before the films and games, I wouldn't dive into those deeper as most of it isn't canon anymore and I see no point to talk about the acts of the films.

So let's discuss the fun part, what the city is really like: The once beautiful world covered with mountains and oceans is no more, all of the surface have been covered by high reaching

skyscrapers that are so tall only another Coruscanti skyscraper can compete with it. But that's not all as Galactic city possesed 5 127 city layers. These were further divided into megablocks then blocks and subblocks.

underneath the tall towers; Jedi temple and the Galactic Senate there are entire cities below where the sunlight never ventures. The deeper we go the only increase we see are in poverty; darkness and danger. Deep down here the only government service you have is the underground police which only goes to lowest levels when its must, not to mention that they wear full body armour and cover their faces because of the numerous species based cartels which murder each other only daily bases due to two reasons to clear competition and they hate other species so be careful since most of those filth hate humans too.

The light sources you have are public lights and advertisement holograms but hey fade too as deeper we go. the lowest level where people are still present is fifth level where is know to be a canteena which is where the most wanted people lay low. There is nothing after but ruble on 4 levels after it. The air is unbreathable but even if you could breath it you would only fall victim to to a thing living of rubbish of the planet.

After all this I think I rather be a farmer on Dantooine then try my luck end up on one of that levels.
